ITIP Report April-June, 2018 Act locally, think globally (Samara, Russia)

The teams were working for Samara region companies that develop new projects or plan to enter international markets in the following spheres: sea plane production, endoprosthesis of small joints production and sales, developing the sales strategy for on-line games, promotion the service for tourist companies at the international market, developing a logistic model and logistic department for delivering goods to the USA and Europe. The students chose the projects and joined the teams due to their present and future professional interests, gained the experience of solving real practical tasks in management, marketing, finance, operations spheres. The customers of the program were Samara cluster of sea plane companies, Samara State Medical University, mobile application Fantasyon, Agg Lab Ltd, Osnovnoi product Ltd. It was a great opportunity to have a new vision, exchange experience, make business contacts, work with top managers.The students were lucky to visit Russia in the period of FIFA World Cup 2018, Samara was hosting a number of matches. ITIP Report January-February, 2017 Local and global entrepreneurship (Samara, Russia)

This time ITIP was devoted to the topic: Local and global entrepreneurship and was organised for the students of the Samara State University of Economics and Alliance University. The program goal was to select high potential students, make effecient international teams and develop own business projects or accomplish technical tasks provided by companies. Most of projects were designed to be implemented in Samara region in the period before and during FIFA WORLD CUP 2018. 9 companies were invilved as customers. The spheres: Promotion of Local brands, Tourism and Hospitality, Restaurants and Entertainment. Focus skills: system thinking, situation analysis, personal position analysis, after-action review, creative thinking, team work, entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. Our results: 84 applicants for the program, 54 participants, 28 students successfully graduated, 9 students were participating in more than one project. 9 projects were developed.

ITIP Report January-February, 2016 LADA Image, AVTOVAZ RENAULT NISSAN Purchasing Organization (Togliatti, Russia)

Twenty-two students studying Marketing, Finance, IT, Operations, Economics and Management from Alliance University (Bangalore, India), Samara State University of Economics (Samara, Russia) and Togliatti Academy of Management (Togliatti, Russia) participated in the program. The trainees gained the experience of solving real practical tasks in two spheres: IT and Purchasing. LADA Image company hosted the students for developing the projects in IT sphere. Program mentor from business was IT director Boris Frolov.Seven students were divided into two teams to work on different IT projects: “Design and develop Survey System” and “Design and develop Employee Suggestion Management System”. On the 1st stage of work the trainees got the task to develop A3 forms and the concepts of interfaces. The first results were presented two weeks later.During the next three weeks they worked on software development: data bases and interfaces. Every participant performed tasks according to the A3 form. ITIP Report June-July, 2016 AUTOMOTIVE CLUSTER OF SAMARA REGION (Togliatti, Russia)

During 18th June – 3rd July 2016 International team internship program (ITIP) was organized for University of Maribor (Maribor, Slovenia), Samara University (Samara, Russia) and Togliatti Academy of Management (Togliatti, Russia) students at Automotive Cluster of Samara region (ACSR). Three students studying E-business, IT and Logistics participated in this program. The trainees gained the experience of solving real practical tasks in two spheres: Logistics and IT. A team of three students from the University of Maribor, Togliatti Academy of Management and Samara University made one international team and worked in ACSR. The program was started with the welcome speech of ACSR General Director Mr. Dusan Busen and Russian-Slovene Club of Businessmen Director Anastasia Putkina. They presented company profile, projects and activities. The task was divided into two stages: developing an IT portal and creating an educational module in the sphere of Logistics. At the end of the 1st stage (1st week) there was a meeting with mentors where the trainees presented their first results: the concept of IT portal. ITIP Report June-July, 2015 AVTOVAZ RENAULT NISSAN Purchasing Organization (Togliatti, Russia)

During June-July 2015 International team internship program was organized for Alliance University (Bangalore, India) and Togliatti Academy of Management (Togliatti, Russia) students at AVTOVAZ RENAULT NISSAN Purchasing Organization (Togliatti, ARNPO). The International team internship project realized at ARNPO is the pilot project of lean educational technology developed for training cross-functional team work in multi-cultural environment and focused on finding new solutions and process optimization, where the participants got the experience of net-working and complex interaction, international team management, got understanding of purchasing processes and ARNPO corporate culture. 19 students studying Marketing, Finance, Operations, Economics and Management participated in this program. 10 MBA students from Alliance University and 9 Bachelor students (2nd and 3rd year) from Togliatti Academy of Management were divided into international teams and worked in different ARNPO departments.Program business mentor was ARNPO General Director Mr. Venkatram Mamillapalle. During the 1st stage (2 weeks) of internship the trainees were assigned to different ARNPO departments and performed similar task: benchmarking of one of commodity groups comparing AVTOVAZ-Renault-Nissan and other OEMs. ARNPO departments: interior, exterior, body in white&materials, chassis, indirect, body&electrical, powertrain and logistics.
